Delivery online shopping doesn’t suit

On a regular base I order some things on the internet, for example cups for the Nespresso machine or clothes from H&M. I thought the idea of online shopping was meant for people who don’t have the time to shop during shopping hours or just don’t like to shop in stores. Actually, the delivery of the package doesn’t suit this concept. The package will most of the time be delivered during office hours, when there is a big chance the customer won’t be home. This is a waste of money or it’s getting a bit awkward for the neighbors who has to receive the package again.

So, in my opinion there are two options:

Give the consumer the option to choose when the material can be delivered;
Organize a very good reachable pick up point with opening hours in the evening and very early morning.

Nima C marketingplan finally done

Today, I finally finished my strategic marketing plan. It took a lot of effort to write this plan for the marketing study Nima C. Now I have to wait until the examiner approve my plan for a presentation. During this presentation I also have to tackle a lot of difficult questions. This will be in March, so for now I’m going to relax!

This is the intro the Thai people do before the match, even the music is the same. I have seen this in the Lumpini stadium in Bangkok. The matches there were amazing, as well as the gambling audience. Now I have seen this and some other movies of release 42 of BodyCombat, I’m really looking forward to the class!!

Zumba blijft gaaf

Vooral onder de vrouwen is Zumba zeer populair. Zelf had ik het een paar maanden niet meer gedaan en afgelopen tijd weer een paar keer geweest en ik ben weer verslaafd! Jezelf lekker laten gaan en schudden met je lijf op leuke muziek. Als je fanatiek meedoet verbrand je nog een hoop calorieën en vet ook. Het is vooral een succes doordat in deze sport de focus ligt op de heupen en taille, wat veelal de probleemgebieden zijn bij mensen die willen afvallen. Probeer het ook eens, het is goed voor je en erg leuk!

“Succes” – Annemarie van Gaal

Met de kerst heb ik het boek “Succes” van Annemarie van Gaal gelezen. Ik had dit boek gekocht omdat ik Annemarie een inspirerende persoonlijkheid vind.

In het boek krijg je een indruk van hoe zij tot een succesvolle zakenvrouw is geworden en zij heeft echt afgezien! Daardoor weet ze als geen ander hoe je een kasboekje moet bijhouden en geeft ze financiële tips. Ben je bijvoorbeeld niet oververzekerd? Krijg je nog steeds rente op je spaargeld? Kijk je ook weleens in de onderste schappen van de supermarkt? En nog vele andere voorbeelden.

Financiële zaken worden in een gemakkelijke en duidelijke taal omschreven. Voor iedereen een zeer handig boek! Je wilt toch nooit ergens te veel aan uitgeven?

Apple the innovators and Microsoft the majority, what is left for Google?

If you apply the Roger’s adoption curve (see visual) on Apple and Microsoft you see that Apple goes for the innovators and Microsoft takes the majority. All the people who like to be cool and love gadgets are the target group of Apple. They seem to like or even love all the Apple products! Will this target group influence the rest of the market? If so, the majority will like to adopt the product. This is the moment other options become available on the market, like the more trustable and well known Microsoft. It seems even that Microsoft invests in the R&D from Apple. So, what is left for Google? http://bit.ly/8WpmgK

Yvonne back in Netherlands

We were so excited last night! With some friends we drove to the airport in Eindhoven to welcome our Yvonne. During the bad weather the airplane had to land at Schiphol, Amsterdam. We were glad a bus picked up the people to get them to Eindhoven.

After a nice pizza and a very chocolate McFlurry we arrived in Eindhoven. Wow, what a lot of people were waiting to welcome their family member or friend! They were carrying banners containing texts like “I love you”, “welcome back home”, etc. We made a banner of our own, but not all the friends liked it. It also turned out to be very crowded there, so Yvonne won’t even get a chance to see that thing.

And there she is, hurray!!! We were all so happy to see each other! I have to say it was not that big emotional. I expected to move to tears, but nobody of us did. We just wanted to hear here great experiences from Afghanistan.

So we quickly went to here house and have seen a nice movie with impressions of the camp on which she was based. I think it will take a couple of days to hear the most of her stories. After this movie we went to the bars in Breda to celebrate that our Yvonne is back in The Netherlands!
